Job summary

Cursor is building a Forward Deployed Engineering team in the UK to close the gap between customer value and delivery. The RVP, Forward Deployed Engineering will lead a growing team across strategic enterprise accounts, own engagement scope, and drive delivery quality with close customer interaction.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep technical credibility, strong people management, and the ability to keep engagements scoped tight, delivered fast, and repeatable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship in production.
• Experience with software development and coding in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Built and owned AI-native workflows in production with real-world model debugging.

Responsibilities

• Own the full arc from technical discovery to executive close with Sales.
• Lead architecture reviews, scope engagements, and de-risk delivery before coding.
• Deliver measurable ROI and present proposals to C-suite stakeholders.
• Manage a team of Front Deployed Engineers and coach for scalable delivery.
• Build reusable playbooks and scale partner FDE track with partners.
