Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee Arlington Court and North Devon Coast & Countryside assets, ensuring safety, compliance and sustainability. You will balance day-to-day operations with long-term planning, working with colleagues, contractors and volunteers to maintain standards.

You will lead a team, manage maintenance programs and budgets, and drive improvements across property objectives while ensuring safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and experience in facilities management and maintenance.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
• Experience of managing compliance, risk assessments and operational procedures.
• Understanding of building fabric and conservation principles.
• Strong commercial, analytical and financial management skills.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing team.
• Experience in procurement, contracts, supply chain and contractor management.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
