Job summary

National Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager for Stourhead in England. You will lead facilities management and operational support for built assets, ensuring safety, compliance and sustainability while guiding a diverse team of staff, volunteers and placements.

This high-complexity role requires strategic planning, contractor oversight, budget responsibility, and collaboration with the Property Leadership Team to deliver excellent visitor experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, asset and maintenance management.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk management and health and safety regulations.
• Experience developing risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Understanding of building fabric, maintenance and conservation.
• Strategic and commercial acumen including budget and supplier management.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver facilities management and wider operational support across the property.
• Lead a team of staff, volunteers and placements to maintain assets with focus on safety and sustainability.
• Oversee safety, compliance and contractor management across the portfolio.
• Manage budgets for delegated operating, maintenance and projects.
• Contribute to the Property Leadership Team and drive continuous improvement.
