Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Environment and Consents Manager for roles in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire or Suffolk. The role focuses on discharging DCO requirements, managing secondary consents, and ensuring environmental compliance across major infrastructure projects.

The position is predominantly site-based, collaborating with contractors and stakeholders to secure approvals and maintain compliance from planning through delivery. A relevant environmental degree and on-site experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in DCO discharge, secondary consents, and environmental permitting.
• Experience managing consent applications, discharge trackers, and evidence packs.
• Ability to interpret environmental commitments and translate them into practical controls and checks.
• Confident on-site work with contractors and delivery teams, coordinating inputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder briefings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of DCO requirements, secondary consents and environmental compliance for projects.
• Develop and maintain discharge trackers, consent registers, application packs and evidence bundles.
• Engage regulators, statutory consultees, local authorities and contractors to resolve issues and drive approvals.
• Review environmental permissions and translate commitments into practical controls, surveys and assurance checks.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and delivery teams, coordinating cross-disciplinary inputs.
• Advise on design, land, methodology and programme changes to embed consenting requirements.
• Contribute to proposals, budgets and delivery plans and mentor junior colleagues.
