Job summary

Metrea is seeking a data analytics professional to own the business logic and semantic data layer for enterprise reporting. You will write custom SQL views to merge data from disparate systems in our data lake and craft dashboards to enable leaders to manage Capability Areas and FILES.

You will design Gold-layer data models, standardize KPIs, and optimize Power BI performance while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Computer Science, MIS, application development or related technical experience.
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Scientist, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Visionary mindset with the ability to tackle wicked problems.
• Proven ability to estimate and calculate project ROI.
• 3+ years of PowerBI report writing and SQL development.
• 2+ years of Azure exposure and experience with Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain curated Gold-layer data models for trusted analytics.
• Define, standardize, and govern KPIs, metrics, and data definitions.
• Design and implement dimensional data models and star schemas for analytics.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable data models and reporting solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure data quality and alignment with business needs.
• Design and optimize datasets and semantic models for Power BI performance and scalability.
• Document data definitions, business rules, data lineage and model relationships.
• Inventory and organize Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and analytics assets.
