Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Engineer for Product Analytics to design scalable data architectures and analytics pipelines across its family of apps. You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to create data-driven insights that drive product decisions.

You will own data models, logging capabilities, dashboards, and data quality, while ensuring security and governance. You will mentor teammates and tackle large-scale data challenges across global platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience with data-centric roles (data engineer, data analyst, or data scientist).
• 7+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own data architecture for large-scale projects with cost-benefit tradeoffs.
• Improve logging data efficacy and triage data infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and data scientists to visualize key insights.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in ownership areas.
• Ensure data security, quality, and governance within ownership domains.
• Design and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations for multiple use cases.
• Address complex data integration using ETL patterns and varied data sources.
• Own production data processes and optimize code with advanced algorithms.
• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, and systems to ease data artifact development.
• Influence cross-functional teams to drive data opportunities and impact.
• Mentor teammates with actionable feedback.
