Job summary

Metrea is seeking a data analytics professional to own the business logic and semantic data layer for enterprise reporting. You will write custom SQL views to merge data from disparate systems in our data lake and craft dashboards to enable leaders to manage Capability Areas and FILES.

You will design Gold-layer data models, standardize KPIs, and optimize Power BI performance while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Computer Science, MIS, application development or related technical experience.
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Scientist, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Visionary mindset with the ability to tackle wicked problems.
• Proven ability to estimate and calculate project ROI.
• 3+ years of PowerBI report writing and SQL development.
• 2+ years of Azure exposure and experience with Microsoft Fabric.

Position Summary

In this role you will primarily be responsible for owning the business logic and semantic data layer for our Enterprise reporting. You will be responsible for writing custom SQL views that merge data between disparate systems in our data lake, then transforming this data into elegant dashboards that enable all levels of Metrea to manage their relevant Capability Areas and FILES.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain curated Gold-layer data models that provide trusted, analytics-ready data for enterprise reporting and decision-making
• Define, standardize, and govern KPIs, business metrics, and data definitions to ensure consistent reporting across the organization
• Design and implement dimensional data models and star schemas optimized for analytics and reporting
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable data models, transformation logic, and reporting solutions
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business needs
• Design and optimize datasets and semantic models for Power BI performance, usability, and scalability
• Establish and maintain documentation for data definitions, business rules, data lineage, and model relationships
• Inventory, catalog, and organize existing Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and analytics assets to improve discoverability, governance, and reduce duplication

What You Bring

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Application Development, Data Analytics or related technical experience
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Scientist, or a technical degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A visionary mindset and desire to handle wicked problems
• Proven ability to estimate and calculate project ROI
• 3+ years of PowerBI report writing and SQL development
• 2+ years of Azure exposure
• Experience interacting and setting up Microsoft Fabric
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) data, including knowledge of core tables, data entities, financial dimensions, table relationships, and extracting / modeling D365 data for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric analytics
• Skilled at analyzing data, identifying patterns, and ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
• Ability to set priorities, work independently, and consistently deliver results with minimal direction

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

PL-300, DP-600, or DP-700 certification is a plus.
