Job summary

A well-established food manufacturing business is recruiting a Lead Engineer for a high-volume production site in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves hands-on leadership to drive reliability, improvements, and engineering excellence.

You'll lead the engineering team on shift, identify and implement solutions, and support ongoing investment projects across the factory in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills within a manufacturing environment.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and driving engineering standards.
• Ability to lead, coach and support engineers while remaining hands-on when required.

A well-established food manufacturing business are looking to recruit a Lead Engineer for one of its high-volume production sites in Boston, Lincolnshire.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll lead from the front on shift, supporting the engineering team while ensuring production equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the autonomy to identify improvements, implement engineering solutions and help shape the future of the site.

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, reducing downtime, improving asset reliability and supporting ongoing investment projects across the factory.

You'll Need

• Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Engineering Team Leader or Senior Multi-Skilled Engineer
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with conveyors, processing equipment, packaging machinery and automated production lines
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and driving engineering standards
• The ability to lead, coach and support engineers while remaining hands-on when required
