Job summary

Synergi Search & Select represents a leading, fully automated FMCG site seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to head a shift engineering team. You will maintain high engineering standards, drive reliability and support continuous improvement across the site.

You will manage planned and reactive maintenance, prioritise breakdowns, develop engineers and apprentices, coordinate contractors and promote a strong Health & Safety culture within a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in engineering.
• Multi-skilled engineering with a strong electrical bias.
• Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding on production machinery.
• Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Understanding Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and support shift engineers.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate and support shift engineers.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within an engineering environment.

• Experience within FMCG, food or another manufacturing environment.

• Good knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience working with CMMS systems.

• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience leading an engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting apprentices or developing engineering personnel.
• Knowledge of automation and modern manufacturing equipment.
• Experience managing contractors and supporting site projects or shutdowns.
