Job summary

A well-established food manufacturing business is recruiting a Lead Engineer for a high-volume production site in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves hands-on leadership to drive reliability, improvements, and engineering excellence.

You'll lead the engineering team on shift, identify and implement solutions, and support ongoing investment projects across the factory in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills within a manufacturing environment.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and driving engineering standards.
• Ability to lead, coach and support engineers while remaining hands-on when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on shift, supporting the engineering team.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
• Identify improvements and implement engineering solutions to shape the site’s future.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, reducing downtime and increasing asset reliability.
• Support ongoing investment projects across the factory.
