Job summary

MorePeople is seeking an Engineering Team Leader for a busy manufacturing site near Boston, Lincolnshire. This hands-on role leads a small engineering team to keep production moving, improve machinery reliability and deliver site-wide improvements.

You’ll diagnose faults, coordinate maintenance, and work with production teams on health, safety and quality standards. A practical problem-solver with leadership experience in manufacturing is ideal.

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing site just outside Boston.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take real ownership of a small engineering team, ensuring production runs smoothly, equipment stays reliable, and improvements are delivered across the site.

You won’t be stuck behind a desk. This is a practical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, leading from the front, and making a visible impact every day.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading and supporting a small engineering team across a busy manufacturing operation

Managing maintenance activities, fault finding, and breakdown response

Improving machinery reliability and reducing downtime

Driving high standards across health & safety, quality, and engineering performance

Working closely with production teams to keep operations running efficiently

What we’re looking for:

Previous engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing environment

Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills

A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving

Experience working rotating day and night shifts

The confidence to lead a team and take ownership of engineering performance
