Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a Lead Electrician to head our residential trades team across the Midlands.

You will perform ongoing electrical testing in occupied homes, certify works, and ensure quality installations in kitchens and bathrooms while supporting customers through a high standard of service. Applicants must hold NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, AM2, 2391, and 18th Edition, with a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Qualified to an NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation.
• AM2 certification is essential.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection is essential.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience in a domestic environment and occupied properties.
• Willing to be on-call for out-of-hours work.
• Strong customer-facing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties.
• As a Lead Electrician, you will also be responsible for checking and signing off electrical certification conducted by other electricians and notifying building control of any new installation works.
• Ensuring installations around kitchens & bathrooms are completed to a quality standard and post inspections are completed.
• Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections

TheLead Electrician role:

What will you bring as a Lead Electrician?

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Experience working within a domestic environment, and comfortable working within occupied residential properties.
• Flexibility and a can-do attitude, with the occasional requirement to be part of our on-call rota for emergency out of hours electrical work.
• Strong customer facing skills are essential, as you often be the face of the business from our customers perspective
• A full UK Driving License is essential for this role.
