Frazer-Nash Consultancy seeks an Electrical Nuclear Safety Engineer in the UK to join a diverse team. The role spans safety case work, design assessments, and client engagement across UK nuclear projects.

The position offers a hybrid pattern with time split between offices, client sites and home, and requires 5+ years in civil/defence nuclear electrical/C&I work. Applicants must travel and collaborate with teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil nuclear or defence nuclear infra experience on electrical and C&I problems.
• Degree, Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM subject.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and adapt.
• Willingness to travel and spend time on client sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to solve complex electrical power system and C&I challenges for nuclear facilities.
• Manage engineering design and modification assessment, hazard analysis, design basis, probabilistic analysis, safety functional requirements, regulatory compliance.
• Conduct periodic review of safety of nuclear facilities.
• Qualification and substantiation of systems against safety requirements.
• Act as the architect engineer for complex nuclear projects.
• Safety case development and support for nuclear and non-nuclear plant.
• Authoring or reviewing safety-related documents.
