Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and EICA design across water and wastewater projects in the Midlands and South West. You'll provide technical leadership, guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure design quality, compliance and best practice throughout project delivery.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients and supply chain partners, and contribute to Stantec’s Electrical Engineering capability as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards professional registration.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA engineering solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience supporting or leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering design principles, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience producing and reviewing deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Control Philosophies and technical reports.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and teams.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions across major water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to the growth of our technical capability.
• Support development of engineers within the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
