Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Lead Engineer – Electrical in Leicestershire to lead the electrical service, deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance, and mentor the trade workforce.

You will split time between hands‑on work and coaching, driving standards across Platform Property Care while supporting apprentices and ensuring safety and compliance across domestic and communal assets.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship completed or NVQ Level 3 + City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning and Certification.
• City & Guilds 2391 OR equivalent qualification in Inspection and Testing.
• AM2 and 18th Edition regulation.
• Unvented Hot Water qualification would be an advantage.
• JIB Approved Electrician card is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical service with 70–80% hands‑on repairs, installations, testing and maintenance.
• Manage jobs from inspection through to completion with excellent customer service.
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues and apprentices.
