Job summary
Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, seeks a Lead Engineer – Electrical to cover Nottingham, Newark and surrounding areas. You will lead electrical services, spend the majority on hands-on work, and mentor colleagues to uphold high standards.
You will shape best practices, support apprentices, and ensure safety and compliance across our social housing repairs teams.
Qualifications
- Completed an Electrical apprenticeship or hold an NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning and Certification.
- City & Guilds 2391, or equivalent qualification in Inspection and Testing.
- AM2 and 18th Edition regulations.
- Full driving licence and mobile working capability.
- Experience in domestic electrical works and safety compliance.
- Coaching and mentoring experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, testing, inspection and maintenance in homes and communal areas.
- Manage jobs from inspection through to completion with excellent customer service.
- Coach, mentor and develop colleagues and apprentices.
- Sign off colleagues against multi-skill framework and EPA preparations.
- Promote trade standards and best practice across the team.
- Work with Learning & Development to support trade training initiatives.
- Conduct trade audits and quality assessments to ensure compliance.
