Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a skilled electrical, ICA engineer to join the Water Utilities Division in the UK. You will lead electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design across nationally significant projects, shaping design decisions and coordinating with clients and contractors.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to technical excellence, and have opportunities to specialise in areas like lightning protection or functional safety as your career develops.

Qualifications

• Essential: HND or higher in electrical/electronic/control engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical or control engineering design.
• Experience leading EICA design activities on projects.
• Strong engineering design discipline and technical judgement.
• Commitment to excellence and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead EICA project teams and shape key design decisions.
• Collaborate with local and international colleagues, clients and contractors.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical excellence.
• Develop and review control strategies and functional descriptions.
• Oversee factory and site acceptance tests and commissioning.
