Job summary

Amey is seeking a Permanent Ecologist to join our Consulting Advisory team in Cardiff. The role involves providing support to Senior Ecologists, leading on projects and mentoring junior ecologists across a range of public sector clients.

You will contribute to ecological schemes, deliver technically sound outputs, and ensure compliance with wildlife legislation while developing your career within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Developed experience in ecological fieldwork and surveys.
• Proven ability to work on ecological schemes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Familiarity with wildlife legislation and survey methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team delivering technically sound ecological deliverables.
• Prepare and check documentation to meet quality, cost and programme criteria.
• Liaise with client/supplier representatives and attend progress meetings.
• Manage a small, locally based single-discipline team and oversee workload.
• Contribute to bids and business development activities.
• Promote health and safety practices within the team.
