Job summary

Amey is hiring a Graduate Ecologist in Manchester to support ecological surveys for protected species and habitats, assisting senior ecologists and delivering reports for scheme delivery with legislative compliance.

Youll develop field skills, enhance report writing, and work with regional and national teams on rail, highways and facilities projects across the UK, with hybrid working options and a strong focus on early career development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or relevant subject (minimum 2:1).
• Strong knowledge of UK protected species.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player, self-motivated and fast learner.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake ecological walkover surveys.
• Develop innovative solutions to identified constraints with senior support.
• Prepare technical survey reports and findings for clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce robust deliverables.
