Job summary

Maybury Montessori is seeking a dedicated candidate to undertake a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship, Room Leader role in Woking, with Shoots Training coordinating the programme.

The role requires a Level 3 Childcare qualification, prior Room Leader experience, First Aid, DBS clearance, and GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent. Hours are 36–40 per week during a 7:30am–6:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Essential Level 3 Childcare qualification.
• Previous Room Leader experience required.
• First Aid certification required.
• Clear DBS is essential.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (A*-C/4-9).

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate the preschool team.
• Deliver high-quality early years education and care.
• Oversee planning, observations and children’s progress.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Mentor and coach staff development.
• Maintain accurate records for day-to-day operations.
• Promote an inclusive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Model the setting’s values and standards.
