Job summary

Tarquin Childcare Services is offering a Level 5 apprenticeship training programme for an Early Years Lead Practitioner. The role covers day-to-day room leadership, staff supervision, and implementing high‑quality learning environments for children.

The learner will grow through professional enquiry, reflective practice and action‑led research, preparing for senior roles such as Room Leader or Deputy Room Leader.

Qualifications

• Must have or be working towards Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma.
• Enrolment in a Level 5 apprenticeship programme in Early Years.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of the room as a senior practitioner.
• Provide support and training to staff and 1:1 mentoring where needed.
• Maintain high quality, stimulating learning environments indoors and outdoors.
• Collaborate with management to sustain good/aim for outstanding Ofsted ratings.
• Plan, monitor and reflect on practice to continually improve outcomes for children.
