Shoots Training is offering a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship at Little Beans Garland as a Pre-School Team Leader. The role is term-time only with a minimum of 30 hours per week, requiring a Level 3 Childcare qualification, room leadership experience, and DBS clearance.

Weekly duties focus on safe nursery management and child-led activity planning. Open to applicants who meet the criteria and can fulfil the responsibilities within Little Beans Garland's EYFS framework,

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship at Little Beans Garland as a Pre-School Team Leader.

Requirements

• A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential
• Experience of being a room leader is essential
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS and two satisfactory references
• Must have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent

Little Beans Garland was designed with a specific vision by the two owners with learning and the environment at the very heart of their project. Every inch designed to maximise free flow and play opportunities for all our Little Beans.

Little Beans Garland is situated in a purpose-built building that offers a large, spacious room with high ceilings that has been transformed to promote high quality learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. It is an inspiring environment with interconnected spaces offering resources, role play areas, a library, arts and crafts, messy play, sensory play, relaxation, a dance/yoga area, maths corner and ample floor space for day-to-day activities.

The space features vibrant candy-striped flooring that is hygienic and gentle on feet and hands during play and crawling.

A large section of our open space is dedicated to our baby beans with age-appropriate activities and their own sleep room containing 9 cots with designated blankets and cot sheets. We can accommodate up to 9 babies in this area, and up to 49 children aged 2–5 years in the main space. We also offer wrap-around care for Longfleet School providing a breakfast club, drop-off and school pick-up with tea/play time after school.

We have a large commercial kitchen with our Little Beans chef who cooks hot meals and snacks for both Little Beans sites. The nursery atmosphere includes home-cooked cuisine and weekly cooking lessons.

At Garland Road, babies and older children share mealtimes to support communication and language development and social-emotional growth, with team support to foster independence.

Our outdoor area includes dedicated spaces for babies with artificial grass and safe-age appropriate play equipment, plus a separate outdoor area for older children within a secure fenced environment.

We provide a wide range of continuous provision covering all areas of the curriculum in a fun, bright environment with free-flow play all year round.

Your duties and responsibilities

We are looking to employ a passionate and motivated individual to join our friendly team as a Qualified Room Leader.

• The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have a real interest in children's learning and development.
• The role entails assisting the manager in ensuring the safe and smooth running of the nursery. The candidate must follow Little Beans policies and procedures and have a good understanding of the EYFS and statutory requirements.
• As a Room Leader, you would be a key person for a small group of children and must be able to plan activities for them as individuals.

Hours

• Little Beans Garland is open from 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
• The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
