Job summary

1st Step is recruiting a Project Manager with a focus on ductwork and ventilation for a major package on a secure environment project in the East Midlands. The role requires overseeing programmes, site teams, quality, and manufacturing coordination from start through handover, with excellent planning and stakeholder management skills.

Permanent or contract opportunities are available, with salary dependent on experience and project complexity.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ductwork or ventilation projects.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Experience coordinating labour-only subcontractors and fabrication processes.
• Experience in secure environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of ductwork and ventilation works per programme and quality standards.
• Coordinate labour-only subcontractors ensuring productivity and quality.
• Produce and manage technical documentation (RFIs, submittals, RAMS, ITPs, progress reports).
• Collaborate with design, internal teams and manufacturing to align materials with programme.
• Review fabrication drawings to meet install requirements and quality.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks and implement solutions.
• Oversee QA, commissioning support, snagging, handover and close-out.
