Job summary

Secure Environment Projects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale ductwork and ventilation packages on secure environment projects. The role demands strong technical knowledge and proven delivery capability.

You will manage planning through to completion, ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards, and collaborate with design, drawing and manufacturing teams across the Midlands and the North.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing large ductwork/ventilation packages.
• Strong technical knowledge including fire-rated systems and fire dampers.
• Experience with secure environments and vetting processes.

Project Manager - Ductwork / Ventilation

Secure Environment Projects (Midlands & North) | Building Services

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)

Package: Car allowance, project-related bonus, pension, 28 days holiday (incl. BH)

Hours: 40 per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale ductwork and ventilation packages on secure environment projects. This is a key role offering long-term opportunity within a growing regional operation.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for managing ductwork/ventilation packages from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing site delivery in line with programme and project requirements
• Leading and coordinating labour-only contractors on site
• Working closely with design, drawing, and manufacturing teams
• Reviewing drawings and fabrication details for buildability and compliance
• Producing and managing key documentation (RAMS, RFIs, ITPs, progress reports)
• Identifying risks, constraints, and programme challenges early
• Maintaining quality standards and managing project close-out

Non-Negotiables

• Proven experience managing large ductwork / ventilation packages
• Strong technical knowledge, including fire-rated systems and fire dampers
• Previous MOJ / secure environment experience and ability to pass vetting

What We're Looking For

• Background as a Project Manager, Site Manager, or Package Manager within ductwork, ventilation, or air distribution
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and compliance requirements
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating manufacturing/fabrication
• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS (management level) preferred
• IPAF / PASMA (or willingness to obtain)
• Relevant construction or building services qualification (preferred)
