Responsibilities

• Produce and manage technical documentation (RFIs, submittals, RAMS, ITPs, progress reports).
• Collaborate with design, internal teams and manufacturing to align materials with programme.
• Review fabrication drawings to meet install requirements and quality.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks and implement solutions.
• Oversee QA, commissioning support, snagging, handover and close-out.

Project Manager (Ductwork / Ventilation)

Location: East Midlands

Salary/Rate: Dependent on Experience

An established M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a major ductwork and ventilation package on a high-profile secure environment project in the East Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in ductwork, ventilation or air distribution systems who can confidently manage programmes, site teams, quality, manufacturing coordination and project delivery from start through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of ductwork and ventilation works in line with programme, quality standards and client expectations.
• Coordinate labour-only subcontractors, ensuring productivity, sequencing, quality and site performance.
• Produce and manage technical documentation including RFIs, technical submittals, RAMS, ITPs and progress reports.
• Work closely with the design team, internal departments and manufacturing workshop to ensure materials are planned, fabricated and delivered in line with programme requirements.
• Review fabrication drawings and technical information to ensure quality, buildability and installation requirements are met.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks and constraints, and implement solutions to maintain delivery.
• Oversee quality control, commissioning support, snagging, close-out documentation and project handover.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Package Manager or Site Manager delivering ductwork, ventilation or air distribution projects.
• Strong technical understanding of construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Experience managing labour-only subcontractors and coordinating manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of technical submittals, RFIs, RAMS, ITPs, progress reporting and quality documentation.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining programme and quality objectives.
• Previous experience working within secure environments, custodial facilities or Ministry of Justice projects would be highly advantageous, although not essential.
