Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Lead Document Controller to operate from Wolverhampton or Warrington with hybrid working. You will oversee document control across complex engineering projects, manage systems, ensure compliance and mentor a team of document controllers.

This role requires hands-on management of document control processes, strong knowledge of Autodesk Vault, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, clients and suppliers to maintain accurate, auditable records and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in document control within engineering or turnkey projects.
• Experience using Autodesk Vault or similar DMS.
• Strong revision control and document transmittals knowledge.
• Experience with quality procedures and contractual requirements.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Able to mentor and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, issue, distribution, review and approval of project docs.
• Set up and maintain project systems using Autodesk Vault.
• Manage technical documents and drawings, revision control.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate client document management systems.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to Document Controllers.
• Identify process improvements and support initiatives.
• Support Project and Programme Managers with documentation tracking.
