Job summary

WSP is seeking a Digital Infrastructure Design Lead Engineer to join our Intelligent Infrastructure team in the UK. You will lead multi-disciplinary design coordination and provide client-facing technical advice on roadside infrastructure design, shaping innovative digital design production across major projects.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate across disciplines, and navigate ambiguous situations while escalating issues to Project Leadership when appropriate.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or relevant experience in technology design.
• Either working towards professional registration or professionally registered with an accredited institute.
• Domain knowledge in a relevant industry, such as power, communications, electrical, electronics or highway design.
• Understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards.
• Experience leading technical teams in delivering designs or schemes.
• Collaborating with colleagues from other engineering disciplines.
• Chartered Engineer status.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical coordination across multi-disciplinary designs.
• Provide client-facing technical advice on roadside infrastructure design.
• Collaborate with the team, share ideas, provide support, and address gaps as necessary.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
