Job summary

MI6 is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join MI6 Tech. You will lead an expanding DevOps capability, oversee deployment, operation and maintenance of software across platforms, and drive automation and AI-assisted engineering initiatives.

You will steer Kubernetes adoption, champion Site Reliability Engineering practices, and mentor engineers while balancing speed with security and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a software engineering/devops team.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and provide technical leadership across DevOps, deployment and service operations.
• Drive improvements to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes.
• Promote DevOps best practices with emphasis on security, resilience and observability.
