Job summary
MI6 is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer in Central London to lead a team of engineers and drive rapid, secure deployment across established platforms. You’ll champion automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted engineering to boost efficiency and reliability.
You will shape platform direction, lead DevOps practices, and ensure a balance between rapid delivery and security. This role is based in MI6 Tech, with responsibilities spanning deployment, operations, and service stability.
Qualifications
- British citizen or dual British nationality
- Based in UK, London preferred
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience in DevOps, Kubernetes, containerised environments
- Familiarity with AI in engineering and MCP standards
Responsibilities
- Lead a DevOps capability to deploy, operate and maintain software across platforms
- Provide technical leadership and guide automation, CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Drive adoption of Kubernetes and containerised environments while embedding SRE principles
- Ensure security, resilience and reliable service performance across teams
