Job summary

DWP Digital in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior DevOps leader to drive modern practices across the engineering landscape. This hybrid role is based in Manchester with hybrid working and a strong focus on Azure, Terraform, and secure, scalable cloud services.

You will mentor engineers, own end‑to‑end delivery, and influence technical decisions to improve resilience, faster releases, and safer deployments within the department.

Qualifications

• Advanced pipeline engineering and IaC using Terraform and Azure tooling.
• Experience building scalable container platforms with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Secure-by-design practices including Zero Trust, RBAC and secrets management.
• Proficient in Python and scripting for automation and observability.
• Self‑driven with end‑to‑end ownership of complex services.

Responsibilities

• Lead adoption of modern DevOps practices across teams.
• Build secure, scalable cloud solutions on Azure and Terraform.
