East West Rail Company is seeking a Design Manager in Milton Keynes to lead and integrate design across a designated railway section. You will manage the design team, ensure QA, and coordinate with the supply chain to meet safety, legal, and project requirements.

The role requires strong design management expertise, stakeholder engagement, and risk control, with a focus on timely delivery, budget awareness, and continuous improvement within a regulated environment.

Qualificações

• Experience as Design Manager in a complex, safety‑focused environment with multiple interfaces.
• Experience leading continuous improvement/innovation in engineering/construction.
• Strong communication to negotiate and balance stakeholder needs across the programme.
• Deep understanding of design management, risk and control.

Responsabilidades

• Administer the design process.
• Facilitate all project design processes – assurance, change management, RFIs, BIM/Digital, CDM.
• Identify and fill any process gaps where needed.
• Ensure milestones are met.
• Manage milestone outputs such as DRN comments, IDC certificates and signatures, ECC production.
• Maintain QA records and ensure compliance.
