Job summary

Raylo seeks a Lead Data Scientist to join and lead our advanced model-building efforts. You will drive production-grade ML across credit risk, churn and recommendations, partnering with product, engineering, risk, and commercial teams to deliver measurable business impact.

You will shape the data science roadmap, grow the function, and help Raylo scale internationally while maintaining rigorous, risk-aware analytics and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data science and predictive modelling.
• Credit risk, fraud, or default modelling experience is essential for high-stakes decisions.
• A 2:1 or higher from a top university, preferably in a STEM or quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Raylo’s data science function, deploying cutting edge AI/ML to solve Raylo’s hardest problems.
• Own end-to-end design, build and deployment of production-grade machine learning models – from credit risk and churn prediction to recommendation systems.
• Partner with product, engineering, risk, operations and commercial to identify high-impact opportunities for advanced modelling.
• Translate complex modelling approaches into clear commercial benefits for the business.
• Shape and grow Raylo’s data science function as we scale internationally.
