Job summary

Zego is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to shape and evolve our data platform for the company’s growth. You will build scalable data systems and mentor engineers across teams, ensuring reliable, secure and future-proof data infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics and Product to translate requirements into robust data solutions and promote best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer in scalable data platforms.
• Experience designing, building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stacks (Python, SQL, Snowflake, Iceberg, AWS, Postgres, Airflow, dbt, Spark).

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical reference point for the Data Engineering team.
• Mentor and coach engineers to deliver high-quality work and technical excellence.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for data engineering and implement best practices.
