Sir Robert McAlpine in Manchester is recruiting a Construction Manager/Chief Engineer to lead a multimillion-pound project at Therme Manchester. You will coordinate engineering, site management, and subcontractors to deliver safety-first, on-time and on-budget outcomes.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure design coordination and construction activities align with programme and regulatory requirements, provide direction, mentor teams, and foster strong client and stakeholder

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience delivering multimillion-pound construction projects.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Collaborative with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Advocate for health, safety, and wellbeing on site.
• Ability to identify, analyse, and mitigate project risks.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the full construction engineering process to meet specs and standards.
• Provide leadership across site operations with a safety-first culture.
• Monitor the programme, identify risks/opportunities, mitigate where needed.
• Ensure delivery within time and budget constraints and support cost control.
• Lead and coordinate engineering teams, works staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships as a key technical interface.
• Maintain auditable records of engineering decisions and changes.
• Set short- and long-term project objectives aligned with goals.
• Contribute to project reports with progress, risks and opportunities.
