Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd is delivering Therme Manchester, the UK’s first urban wellbeing resort in TraffordCity. As Package Engineer, you will coordinate and manage work packages, liaising with architects, engineers and subcontractors to keep safety, quality and programme on track.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Ability to prepare a 3 week look-ahead programme with project planner assistance.
• Proven experience in package management.
• Experience as Temporary Works Coordinator would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules and standards.
• Working towards construction industry professional membership (ICE, CIOB, RICS, etc).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage designated work packages with the project team and subcontractors.
• Organise and conduct regular site progress meetings with subcontractors and report to Chief Engineer/Project Manager.
• Ensure SRM obligations to subcontractors are understood and discharged.
