Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to deliver the Therme Manchester project, the UK’s first urban wellbeing resort in TraffordCity. You’ll lead engineers, site management, and subcontractors to align design, procurement, and construction with programme and budget.

You will drive safety and quality on a multimillion-pound scheme, manage risks, report progress to stakeholders, and mentor teams to achieve ambitious deadlines through 2028 completion.

• Proven experience delivering multimillion-pound construction projects.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Advocate for health, safety and wellbeing on site.
• Ability to identify and mitigate project risks and find improvement opportunities.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the full construction engineering process, ensuring compliance with regulations, specifications and industry standards.
• Provide visible leadership across site operations with a safety-first culture.
• Monitor and manage the project programme, procurement and construction risks with mitigations.
• Ensure delivery within agreed time and budget constraints, supporting cost control and value management.
• Identify, manage and mitigate technical and construction risks while guiding teams.
• Lead and coordinate engineering teams, site staff and subcontractors, mentoring as required.
• Maintain relationships with the client and stakeholder teams as the technical interface.
• Maintain auditable records of engineering decisions and changes.
• Set and manage short- and long-term project objectives aligned with goals.
• Contribute to project reports and provide updates on progress, risks and opportunities.
