Job summary

Secure Healthcare in Wolverhampton is seeking a Complex Deputy Care Manager to lead the safe delivery of community-based complex care packages for adults and children across the West Midlands and Shropshire.

You will ensure person-centred, compliant care in clients’ homes and work with clinicians, ICBs/CCGs, local authorities and the MDT to uphold high standards and safety. This is office-based with regular regional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in community or domiciliary care.
• Experience in complex care (ventilation, spinal injury, tracheostomy, ABI, bowel care, etc.) is essential.
• Proven experience working with both children and adults in complex settings.
• Strong leadership and client-facing skills.
• Driver with access to a vehicle (essential).
• Ability to work flexibly – some packages may require early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and coordinate new care packages.
• Maintain existing services, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
• Visit clients regularly, ensuring person-centred care is delivered.
• Liaise with clinicians and MDTs to review complex care packages.
• Meet with local authorities, ICBs/CCGs, and other professionals.
• Complete and sign off care plans in line with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit reports to commissioners as required.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to care teams.
• Complete supervisions, appraisals and team meetings.
• Support with rota management.
• Be part of the On Call rota.
