Scantec Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Civil, Structural or Geotechnical with a strong tunnelling background for a major nuclear infrastructure programme in Warrington. The role requires leading technical development, design and substantiation of tunnelling structures, coordinating across civil, structural, geotechnical and systems teams on a site-based programme.

Competenze

• Degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Structural Engineering with Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
• Extensive tunnelling experience in major infrastructure or nuclear projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams across design and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design, excavation support and underground construction methods.
• Experience with advanced numerical modelling tools (FLAC/PLAXIS) and design substantiation.

Mansioni

• Lead the technical development, design and substantiation of tunnelling and underground structures.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure compliant, integrated engineering solutions.
• Coordinate tunnelling design with civil, structural, geotechnical and construction teams.
• Oversee ground–structure interaction, excavation support and lining design.
