Job summary

Scantec is recruiting a Senior Engineer – Civil & Structural (Civil bias) for a permanent, site-based role in Warrington, Cheshire. You will deliver civil design and assessment for roads, pavements, and infrastructure within a highly regulated nuclear environment.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering, Chartered status is desirable, and eligibility for UK security clearance. Collaborative design across multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer, ideally working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Proven experience in the design and assessment of roads, highways and pavements.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing technical interfaces.
• Experience using civil engineering, highway design and modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design and assessment for roads, highways, pavements and infrastructure.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports.
• Supporting design substantiation and technical justifications to meet project and governance requirements.
• Collaborating with structural, geotechnical, drainage, environmental and wider teams.
• Participating in design reviews and resolving engineering queries.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards and CDM 2015 obligations.
• Mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge.
