Job summary

Scantec is recruiting a Civil & Structural Ground Engineer for a permanent, full-time, site-based role in Warrington, Cheshire. You will support the Site Layout and Balance of Site teams, delivering civil and structural engineering solutions within the nuclear sector, and ensuring compliance with standards and CDM 2015 obligations.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in civil engineering, is working towards Chartered Engineer status, and has experience in civil infrastructure design,

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with strong design and delivery experience.
• Experience in civil infrastructure projects, ideally in regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of design substantiation, technical reporting and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Originating and coordinating civil and structural design within the programme.
• Producing calculations, drawings, specifications and design documentation.
• Supporting design substantiation and technical justifications to meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
• Participating in design reviews and resolving engineering queries.
• Ensuring designs meet codes, standards and CDM 2015 obligations.
• Mentoring graduate and early-career engineers and sharing knowledge.
• Co-ordinating technical interfaces across Site Layout and Balance of Site teams.
