Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead delivery on major water and wastewater projects in the UK. The role combines technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on design across feasibility to commissioning, with a flexible hybrid pattern based in Warrington.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality and client satisfaction, and contribute to bids and programme planning.

Qualifications

Strong technical experience in water and wastewater non-infrastructure design.
Applications welcomed from Civil, MEICA and Process Engineering disciplines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to produce clear reports.
Proven ability to lead and work within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver innovative, value-for-money engineering solutions meeting project requirements.
Provide technical leadership with oversight of engineers and technicians.
Maintain high technical standards and ensure timely delivery per client briefs.
Lead projects through preliminary and detailed design with focus on quality.
Prepare, review and approve designs, calculations and drawings.
Ensure compliance with CDM, health and safety and environmental legislation.
Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Support project planning, bids and programme development.
Contribute to bids and provide technical support across projects.
