Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited in Hattersley seeks a Principal Civil Engineer to lead engineering design for water and wastewater projects, with hybrid working. You will coordinate design work and drawings, ensure health and safety compliance, and maintain high standards across contracts.

You will travel between Warrington client offices and project sites, mentor staff, develop procedures, and deliver cost‑effective plant layouts and robust solutions that minimise risk and maximise value for our turnkey

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of water and sewage treatment principles.
• Experience leading design teams on water-related projects.
• Membership of a professional institution or nearing chartership.

Responsibilities

• Produce and supervise design layouts that are cost effective and constructible.
• Coordinate designs with internal and external disciplines.
• Ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance across contracts.
• Develop and maintain design procedures and records.
• Provide technical guidance to Proposals and project teams.
• Mentor staff and support personal development plans.
