Job summary

Browne Construction is seeking a Civil Design Technical Lead to own civil/structural design for water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate external consultants, ensure buildability and compliance, and collaborate across disciplines from feasibility to commissioning.

The role is based in the UK with a flexible office base (Ilkeston, Apsley or Glasgow) and a 40-hour week, requiring attendance 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Chartered status (or working towards) desirable.
• Experience leading civil design in water/wastewater projects.
• Ability to manage external consultants and review civil works packages.
• Knowledge of BIM processes and design collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own civil and structural design elements for water/wastewater projects.
• Lead and coordinate with external consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review designs for compliance, buildability and cost-effectiveness.
• Support feasibility through detailed design and commissioning phases.
