Job summary

Toppesfield is seeking an experienced Asphalt Supervisor to lead daily site operations and support Contracts Managers in delivering surfacing projects across the UK. You will oversee work programmes, coordinate material orders, and supervise on-site teams to ensure high standards and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a Construction Management Qualification, SMSTS (or SSSTS), a CSCS card, and hands-on experience with asphalt and road laying.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within infrastructure, highways or contracting sectors.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in site operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations for surfacing projects.
• Develop work plans and programmes; place material orders.
• Lead on-site teams and maintain relationships with clients and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
• Produce daily site reports and address issues promptly.
