Job summary

Toppesfield is seeking experienced Machine Lay Surfacing Gangs and Asphalt Operatives to join our Site Operations team in East Anglia. You will deliver high-quality asphalt surfacing works as part of a skilled crew, reporting to a Foreman and coordinating with Plant Operators.

Ideal candidates bring proven asphalt surfacing experience, a valid CSCS card, and strong health and safety awareness. Full UK driving licence preferred. Competitive salary and extensive leave are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt surfacing and a track record of delivering high-quality asphalt works.
• Strong health and safety awareness and ability to follow SHEQ procedures.
• Valid CSCS card and relevant plant operator tickets or licences are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver machine and hand lay surfacing across projects.
• Lay, level and compact asphalt materials to required standards.
• Operate paving and compacting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain workmanship quality and adhere to daily programmes and targets.
• Follow Safety, Health, Environment and Quality procedures (SHEQ).
• Communicate effectively with foreman and crew to ensure smooth operations.
