Job summary
Toppesfield is seeking an experienced Asphalt Supervisor to join our Operations Team covering the Suffolk and Essex region. You will manage daily site operations and support Contracts Managers in delivering surfacing projects to agreed programmes.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in infrastructure or highways, hold a Construction Management Qualification and a valid CSCS card, and be skilled in asphalt and road laying. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- The candidate should have experience in infrastructure/highways contracting.
- Construction Management Qualification is essential.
- A valid CSCS card is required.
- Experience with asphalts and road laying is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations for surfacing projects.
- Develop work plans and programmes; place material orders.
- Coordinate with Crew/Foreman through daily briefings and on-site presence.
- Ensure work meets contract specifications and quality standards; minimise remedial work.
- Monitor progress and safety; conduct regular site inspections.
- Lead on-site teams and maintain strong client/contractor relationships.
