Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Technical Services team. The post focuses on safe delivery of SACT, clinical trials, and medicines through the aseptic unit, with responsibilities including verification of prescriptions and ensuring GMP/GCP/GDP compliance.

The successful candidate will be an Authorised Pharmacist, contribute to service improvements, and work within a bilingual NHS organisation that serves multiple hospitals and community

Qualifications

• Authorised Pharmacist for the aseptic unit is required.
• Knowledge of GMP, GCP and GDP regulatory requirements is essential.
• Clinical screening and review of prescriptions for SACT and clinical trials is expected.

Responsibilities

• Act as an Authorised Pharmacist for the aseptic unit, supervising aseptic preparation of injectable medicines including SACT.
• Ensure activities are conducted by trained personnel in line with GMP, GCP, GDP and other statutory requirements to deliver a high-quality service.
• Clinically screen and review prescriptions for SACT and clinical trials.
• Verify aseptics service to ensure correct formulation, compatibility and presentation for administration.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to senior managers and clinical staff.
• Maintain Quality Assurance standards in line with national and local requirements.
