Job summary

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Swindon is seeking a Senior Aseptic Services Pharmacist to lead the new Section 10 Aseptic Services Unit. The role focuses on establishing a patient-centered, compliant aseptic service as part of transformation, with progression from Band 6 considered.

The post requires authorised pharmacist duties, collaboration with the aseptic services and cancer teams, and oversight of high-risk injectable medicines across wards and Day Therapy Unit.

Qualifications

• Member of General Pharmaceutical Council
• Masters Degree in Pharmacy
• Post qualification in aseptic services or clinical (e.g. Clinical Diploma)
• Quality risk management training
• Change management training

Responsibilities

• Act as an Authorised Pharmacist for day-to-day supervision of the PASU to ensure products meet standards (GCP, GMP, GDP)
• Work with the Accountable pharmacist to maintain facilities, equipment and practices to highest technical standards
• Coordinate treatment provision with the Day Therapy Unit, haematology inpatient unit and other wards for high risk injectables
