Job summary

MBDA is seeking an experienced engineer in the UK Actuation Systems Centre of Excellence Servo domain to lead the development of complex dynamic systems. The role requires strong modelling skills and technical leadership, with 2-3 days on-site in a hybrid setup.

You will validate models against real hardware data, run Monte Carlo simulations, and translate system requirements into subsystems. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

Degree qualification or equivalent experience with mathematical content (e.g., Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).
Experience with MATLAB & Simulink for modelling and validation.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and projects.
Experience applying Monte Carlo methods to assess performance.

Responsibilities

Lead development of complex dynamic systems within Actuation Systems Centre of Excellence Servo domain.
Validate mathematical models with real‑world hardware data.
Conduct Monte Carlo simulations to assess performance and reliability.
Generate subsystem or component requirements to support system architecture.
Drive continuous improvement and process improvements.
