Job summary

MBDA is seeking engineers in Stevenage with strong mathematical content and expertise in dynamic systems, MATLAB & Simulink, and process improvement. The role offers a hybrid pattern of 2–3 days on site per week, a salary between £55,000 and £65,000, and eligibility checks (BPSS) after offer.

Qualifications

Degree qualification or equivalent experience with mathematical content (e.g., Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
Technical leadership experience
Strong understanding of dynamic systems and mathematical modelling, including mechanical systems, motor and feedback systems such as sensors
Experienced user of MATLAB & Simulink tools
Proven experience of process improvement and being part of a continuous improvement culture
Strong communicator with the ability to influence, collaborate and network
Ability to validate mathematical models using real-world hardware performance data
Ability to generate sub-system or component requirements in support of system architecture development
Conduct Monte Carlo simulations to assess product performance and reliability across a range of stochastic variable and expected manufacturing tolerances
An ability to justify and support production test limits
